First in the number are the Roman Catholics, followed by the Muslims, and lastly by other Christian sects. In relation to that, a number of beautiful churches are found in different places. One that represents the Hilongos, the "Immaculate Conception Church". The church has been known to be built from the Philippine Spanish era, around the 18th century. It was later on renovated, but the amazing belfry at the top of the bell tower still stands. The piled coral blocks around the church's perimeter and the bell tower assured its strength to last until now and to reflect the hard work and belief of their people of the past. Up to the present, it's art has been manifested with the strong belief engraved within the people. Every year the town celebrates its feast on the 28th day of December.
